Solid Pure 24kt California Gold Nugget

18 Grams of pure gold with 14kt hallmarked bail
Bail weighs approximately 1/2 gram.

This nugget is absolutely Stunning!

Surprisingly heavy in your hand!

This Nugget was found in the chicken coop of my Grandfathers ranch near the small town of WestPoint California, in Calaveras County. Gold rush country!

The chickens were picking at something and my Grandmother walked over and picked it up.

I believe that it was in the year 1934/1935...

The bail was put on sometime in the late 30's for my Grandfathers birthday.

It was worn about a year when it was noticed that it was wearing smooth. It was then put into storage.

My grand father died in the year 1945.

This nugget was passed on to me around 1980...
